Description
Issue: Importing studies with no existing MRN Scenario: A study was imported and the MRN was not changed prior to import into True PACS. There are no other studies in ETP for this patient so the user cannot update the patient information. Sometimes studies are imported for a patient that will be having a future exam, and this allows the site to import studies prior to the patient existing. If the user does not edit the MRN during import, they do not have the option to change the MRN if the Patient MRN doesn't yet exist in the DB. Enhancement Request: Allow True PACS to edit the Patient MRN to not require a current patient in the PACS DB. Similar to the old ability to change study info in prior UV PACS-IW versions. This may need a flag of sorts after the new first study is sent to PACS creating a new patient, due to potential conflicting data. Can this scenario go to the Exceptions list as a “Patient Mismatch” so it can be resolved? Because the MRN was already changed, it would allow the end user to know that this was an imported study. The goal would be to allow the imported study to appear as a prior to the MRN. If the mentioned is not possible, please consider alternatives to allow users to edit the MRN even if the MRN doesn't exist in PACS yet. This is a common scenario that needs attention. |
