Site has a mix of these login formats in their environment and was hoping to provide domain login instruction by adding a note to the ZFP login page.
"At our institution we currently have a few variations of login prompts, but the three variations that come up are:
* <network user ID>
* <domain>\<network user ID>
* <networkuser ID>@<domain>
We have mostly been able to phase out "<domain>\<network user ID>", thankfully. It does show up on a few older and stand-alone systems, but more often they would have a separate domain field.
For <network user ID> , some systems will supply a domain drop-down field are part of the login prompt, usually set to a default so the user doesn't have to do anything but input their network user ID. Similar to what the GE Universal Viewer prompt does today. In other cases, it's hidden behind the scenes and since most of our users are brought up on the <network user ID> and older <domain>\<network user ID> login formats, they will instinctively try those.
<network user ID>@<domain> is a relatively new concept in our environment. Not supported by all the applications yet. So I was hoping to prompt the user to use it when the application calls for it, since by instinct they will try to login with their <network user ID> only."
