UV Cobb Angle Measurement Tool parity to RA1000 Cobb Angle Tool

No description provided
Description

Cobb's angle, is a measurement used for evaluation of curves in scoliosis on an AP radiographic projection of the spine.

How do I display a Cobb Angle?

1) Utilities / Preferences / Display Preferences / Display Options, select "Show Cobb-angle calculation by default".

2) On an AP spine image, use the Measure tool to draw 2 straight measurements. The Cobb-angle measurement will automatically display in the lower right of the image.

From RA1000 Operator Manual (DOC2513709):

7.20 Showing Cobb Angle Calculation by Default

In the Centricity workstation user preferences, you can have the Cobb angle calculations display when two or more measurements are created on an image.

To display Cobb angle calculations when two or more measurements are created on an image:

1. Open the Utilities palette.

2. Click the Preferences tab.

3. Click the Display Preferences tab.

4. In the Display Options section, select the Show Cobb angle calculation by default

check box.

Expected Result: The workstation is set to display Cobb angle calculations when two or more measurements are created on an image.

UV only allows one angle to be created on same image and is very cumbersome. Does not provide ability to perform lines as required to perform Cobb Angle measurements.

Fraser Health (1.5 M /exams a year) is implementing WFM/UV. They also expect that UV should be able to have the ability to perform a Cobb Angle measurement . This would be expected parity capabilities from RA1000 . This has the potential to delay their implementation of WFM/UV
