Description
Almost users except radiologists and technologists doesn't see thin slice series. So UV need to have an ability to not to load thin slice series automatically. It is some advantage like below. - In UV server and background systems(CPACS or EA), system resources to provide exams for such users will be less than to load all series. - As a user, he/she will be able to see more quickly interest series. Expect specification/behavior: 1. The user is able to configure about 'what series is thin slice series' in 'Navigator' section in 'User Preferences'. - It is set to each modalities(CT, MR and DBT). - They has a checkbox(to enable this function) and a drop-down menu(to select 'lowest slice thickness' who contains values between 0.5mm and 1.5mm by 0.1mm). e.g.) The user checked 'CT' checkbox and select '1.0mm', UV viewer judges the series who has (0008,0060) modality is CT and (0018,0050) Slice Thickness is 1.0mm or lower is 'thin slice series'. 2. UV viewer layouts series to avoid thin slice series. - When open an exam, thin slice series do not be loaded in viewports. e.g.1) A hanging protocol has 4 'generic' viewports. An exam has 4 series(1, to 4), series 3 is thin slice series. -> load series 1, 2 and 4 to each 3 viewports, another 1 viewport is blank e.g.2) A hanging protocol has 4 'generic' viewports. An exam has 6 series(1 to 6), series 3 is thin slice series. -> load series 1, 2 4 and 5 to each viewports In this case, series 6 is loaded by background, but series 3 is not loaded. 3. Thin slice series does not loaded in background except thumbnail image UV viewer does not load thin slice series in background. However, the thumbnails need to be displayed. And UV viewer displays an icon on the top-left of the thumbnails. The icon indicates this series does not load automatically because it is thin slice series. 4. To load thin slice series Thin slice series is loaded when the user added it to a viewport. At the same time, an icon who indicates as thin slice series is disappeared. Service Cloud Case#: 07330902 |
