Having accurate information in the audit trails is extremely important! We frequently get deposed to legal cases and must justify every action in an audit trail.

Now we’re seeing that the audit trails between UV and WFM have conflicting information. Explaining other people’s audited actions in a court deposition surrounded by lawyers is intimidating enough, then to have conflicting audits on the same exam is going to be nearly impossible to explain

• When did the radiologist open the study?

• When did the treating physician open the study?

• When did the technologist submit to the radiologist for dictation?

• Did anyone else in the clinical support team open the study during the critical treatment time?

• Why does it look like this user opened it and then closed it 2 seconds later?

I’m sure there’s more questions that will arise but the biggest thing is we have sometimes where the audit doesn’t even show the radiologist opened it in UV….then we look in WFM and he/she had been in it for awhile!

To present both audits will open a major flaw in GE’s product…..not to mention the inability for us to clearly prove a timeline of when the study was reviewed and the treatment administered based on the radiology interpretation.
