UV does not show the actual dicom info for tag 0008,1030 study description instead it shows the value from the IMS database for procedure description.

Description

UV with CPACS backend does not display the actual dicom value for for dicom tag 0008,1030. Instead it gets this information from the cpacs database. RA1000 on the other hand does show the actual dicom value for tag 0008,1030 that the images receive from the modality. Customer expectation was to move away from RA1000 completely but with their workflow and this issue they are unable to. The site gets many outside exams and in some cases the studies get recent into pacs. Since these exams are from outside of the GE pacs they come in unspecified. They use the tag 0008,1030 to help determine if the exam was previously sent into pacs. Since they cannot see the actual dicom value in UV they are not able to determine if the exams are duplicates and therefore unable to merge. They have to use RA1000 and the "i" button to view the dicom information to see the actual value of tag 0008,1030.

Enhancement request is to have parity between ra1000 and UV when it comes to viewing the actual dicom tags.

I think what really is needed here, is a Dicom Node Level configuration, that is equivalent to the System Level - RP ENHANCED PROCEDURE configuration.
