EA will not allow a duplicate ae_title. Some vendors use the same ae_title for their devices and if dealing with different sites there can be crossover as same SW or machine may have been sold to another customer. |
DICOM titles need to be unique within a DICOM domain. Otherwise issues will occur during retrieve from Enterprise Archive with DICOM C-Move as DICOM C-Move identifies the target of the move operation by the AE titles of DICOM clientsconfigured in Enterprise Archive. Customers need to be educated that they must assign unique DICOM AE titles to their DICOM devices.
