In patch 4.0.23, we now have t he option to "Ability to Automatically Write to the Next Library When the First Library is Full"
But the max Free space value that you can assign is 100GB. When you have a library that is in TB, like 70TB, 100GB is not very much and some vendors don't like to fill that close. We should be able to either set the value we want (well over 100GB) or set the library to %. I think setting the value to what ever you like would be good.
Example: If you have a 100TB library and you want to fill to 99%, then we would need to be able to set that value to 1TB.
This is the value in the GEHealthcare.EA.LegacyConfiguration.dll.config file:
autoSwitchToNextLibraryOnOverflow="true" minimumLibraryFreeSpaceRequiredInGB="100">
I was to be able to change the GUI screen to a value bigger than 100GB. Maybe be able to do a percent value or at least value between 100GB-1TB. If you have a library that is 100tB, then 1TB in only 1%. Some vendors don't like to fill storage devices to 100%.
Can you clarify the ask?Increase the value… the watermark value?
Also, would be nice if the process only worked ‘like for like’…
e.g.: Only write to the next library where the match rule, and library type (permanent or temporary), is the same.
